We are pleased to announce that the fifth and final EnCycLEd module “Cyberpeace“ has been successfully piloted in Ukraine, bringing critical digital literacy and civic responsibility directly into classrooms.

Two educational institutions recently put the new materials into practice, yielding high engagement and deep reflections:

• Kyiv Vocational School: Teachers and students dove into the module, utilizing additional localized resources like IGF‑UA. The session received highly positive feedback, specifically highlighting how effectively the content sparks student engagement and nurtures critical thinking.

• Velykomytnytskyi Lyceum: Facilitated by project partner SET University following specialized teacher training, teacher Liudmyla Buzivska and her senior students (Grades 10 and 11) experienced a highly interactive session. A major highlight was a simulated Internet Governance Forum (IGF) session, where students used AI tools to structure their arguments and debate online safety.

From Passive Users to Critical Thinkers

In today’s Ukrainian context, the concept of cyberpeace is uniquely relevant and timely. Both pilots successfully transformed students from passive internet users into active, analytical thinkers who deeply reflected on the reality that absolute safety online does not exist.

The valuable insights and feedback gathered from these pilots will now be used to further refine the materials, ensuring enhanced localized translations and interactive elements for classrooms across Europe.
